5 Cars With Weird Designs

There are some cars that crapper verify your breath absent with their resistless looks. On the other hand, there exist some cars with designs that are rattling mundane and ordinary, while some automobile designs crapper amaze you with their oddities and unusualness. Here is the list of 5 cars with unearthly designs:

1. Mercedes-Benz Count Trossi SSK

Luxury automobile maker Mercedes-Benz has named this \"Count Trossi\" SSK after the \"aristocratic\" European race-car driver Count Carlo Felice Trossi. This automobile actually has a rattling smart set of wheels, despite having 'weird automobile design'. This automobile had been extremely flourishing in the Le Mans, Monaco, and the Mille Miglia.

There are only quaternary original models of the Count Trossi SSK in the world and each is a 'holy grail' among automobile collectors. Recently digit model from 1929 sold for US$7.4 million!

2. Peugeot Honey-B

The Peugeot Honey-B same its namesake looks pretty much same a bounteous honey bee on wheels! It seems same a Peugeot automobile designer must have got stung by a honeybee digit period and he decided to eternize his 'honeybee experience' and came up with this strange car.

Like bees, it is aerodynamic, but different bees, it is a Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV) supercharged by gas render cells. This Honey-B boasts of seats with techno-cool hydraulic arms that help various planned adjustments which effectuation they pull automatically to your preferred position once you're seated!

3. Hondo Puyo

The Honda Puyo crapper be termed as the \"Weird-great Puyo\". The little information we institute on this 'weirdo' automobile tells us that this is a construct automobile which runs on gas fuel. Unlike the fuel-cell supercharged Honda FCX, the Puyo prides on \"no sharp edges\" and is covered in fleecy polymer so that it crapper ingest light collisions. If you are thinking to mate this, you have to use a joystick instead of a steering wheel.

4. Nissan Moon Buggy

Fueled by imagination, designer Robert Hoffmann drew up this Nissan Moon Buggy construct for an auto magazine. This unearthly automobile is rattling implausible to go into production. This strange Nissan Moon Buggy has been inspired by the Lunar Modules.

The automobile has oversize side wheels that are supposed to provide more efficiency in maneuverability. Not only that, when it reaches high speeds, Ailerons are deployed for increased aerodynamics, Ailerons are commonly institute on fixed-wing aircraft!

To be honest, the automobile looks same a cross between an alien and an iPod.

5. Nissan Pivo 2

Who says no automobile designers organisation cars for gals? The Nissan Pivo 2 is just not a 'girlie-girlie' automobile construct but a rattling urbane digit in that! It is supercharged by advanced compact lithium-ion batteries and features a unequalled rotating cabin, which effectuation no reverse gear is required! The quaternary wheels are supercharged by electric engine and crapper invoke finished 90 degrees to allow the Pivo 2 to drive sideways as well as forward. The Pivo 2 looks as if it has come from the Pixar Studio!

Los Angeles Auto Show 2009 Concept Cars

The Los Angeles Auto Show 2009 is featuring 11 concept cars which either have a space age design, a green theme or both. Concept cars from Audi, BMW, Honda, Lexus, Mitsubishi, Subaru, Toyota, Volkswagen and Volvo offer a glimpse at what the vehicles of tomorrow may look like.

This group of concept cars include:

• Audi e-tron
• BMW Vision EfficientDynamics
• Honda Personal-Neo Urban Transport
• Lexus LF-Ch Premium Compact Hybrid
• BMW MINI Coupe
• BMW MINI Roadster
• Mitsubishi PX-MiEV
• Subaru Hybrid Tourer
• Toyota Prius Plug-in Hybrid
• Volkswagen Up! Lite
• Volvo S60 Concept

In regard to space age design, the Audi e-tron, BMW Vision EfficientDynamics and Honda Personal-Neo Urban Transport blow away their respective competition. And of this group, the Honda Personal-Neo Urban Transport (or P-NUT as they are calling it) has the most futuristic design.

The P-NUT is a small urban vehicle meant to tool around big cities and fit into tight spaces. It has a small internal combustion engine coupled with a hybrid battery pack that makes it a green vehicle.

On the P-NUT, the windshield and sunroof merge into one as the swoop of the overhead design lends itself to this feature. Now, let's face it, next to the space age vehicle, the Toyota Prius plug-in hybrid vehicle (PHEV) isn't very sexy.

It looks basically like a Prius. But what is sexy is that unlike many other concept vehicles, this one is expected to make it to market next year. Not only that, the Prius PHEV will compete head-on with the GM Volt PHEV.

While GM is making grandiose claims about the performance of the Volt (which is still a work in progress) setting up extreme expectations, Toyota is downplaying expectations of the Prius PHEV - for now.

One can look forward to next year and the years beyond and see the Toyota concept car of today, being one of the highest selling vehicles in tomorrow's marketplace. And, that's a pretty good concept, now isn't it?

Cars and Pedestrians

In this day and age, you can never be too careful. As time has progressed, over the years there are more people living in more densely populated areas around the United States (not to mention the world). Due, alone, to this fact- it should therefore come as no surprise to find out that there are an increased number of vehicle accidents that have taken place as a result. Is the world a more dangerous place now because there are more people? Some would debate this question and answer that "yes," it is in fact a more dangerous place.

The other week, I was driving back from working out when I saw that there was a huge accident. Later, I found out that a person walking along the sidewalk had been struck by a motorcyclist who had somehow lost control of his vehicle and had skidded onto the sidwalk. How scary is that? To think that we aren't even safe walking along the sidewalks! Is it because the speed limits are too high or too low? The fact of the matter is that people who get behind the wheel of a car, truck, bus or even a motorcycle don't always obey the posted traffic speed limits- let alone the laws of the roadways.

What is the point of having laws and rules that govern how we should behave as responsible citizens if no one follows them? Can we really be left to our own devices to trust one another's judgment? Think about it. If there were no rules for how we should drive, do you think that people would do the right thing? Would it be total chaos? It is a scary thought. There are, however, some precautions that we can each take when it comes to sharing the road. As a runner, I would always get annoyed when cars would cut me off as I tried to cross the street.

To put it another way, when you are behind the wheel of a vehicle, put yourself in the shoes of a pedestrian. As many of us are already aware, pedestrians always have the right of way (even when they're wrong). This is, in part, because vehicles can be used as deadly weapons and are much bigger and heavier than a person. When you approach a corner and there is a pedestrian, always pause to see what their body language indicates. You may have the green arrow to turn, but if a pedestrian's body language indicates that they are already moving forward, then you must yield.

It is also a great idea to try to make eye contact with pedestrians when you are approaching a stopped position or even an intersection. Usually, pedestrians will look for this same eye contact from you and will give some sort of a verbal or physical signal indicating that they understand your intentions for them to move ahead or stay where they are. If we all practiced a little more safety both in our driving habits as well as how we treat pedestrians, then it would be a much safer place to live and work in. Remember, when you're not behind the wheel of a car, you become a pedestrian. That being said, make sure that you treat pedestrians the way that you would want to be treated: with respect and courtesy!

Best Aston Martin Car Show

Aston Martin is a luxury sports car manufactured in Britain. The car company derived its name from the two founders, Lionel Martin and Robert Bamford. In 1913, Martin and Bamford decided to make their own car. By 1920, Bamford had left and Aston revitalized the company. The initial cars were all developed to compete on the racing circuit in Europe. The cars were known as the Bertelli cars in the 20s and 30s and included the 1 ½ liter T type the international.

The company struggled financially and stopped car production during the 2nd World War.
After the war, under new leadership of David Brown, the company regained it elite status both on the racing circuit and with consumers. In the 50s, the DB cars were produced for racing and the company had developed a solid track record of success.

In the 70s and 80s, again the company ran into financial trouble and worldwide the sales were diminished. The 80s saw more restructuring and the company was bought by Victor Gauntlet. Gauntlet again revived fame for Aston Martin by supplying the car for the James Bond movies. This was followed by more dealing with Ford who finally took over the company in 1994. During this time period, the DB 7 and the V12 vantage models were produced.

In 2003 Aston Martin released the AMV 8 Vantage Concept car. The vantage had a V8 engine to compete with the large American cars. AM has returned back to the sporting world. Despite all the success, Aston Martin has always struggled financially. In 2007, the corporation was again sold to David Richards and a number of other investors. Today, there are dealerships in China and in 2008, it revealed the Lagonda Marquee. The global economic downturn has not left Aston Martin unscathed. At the end of last year, the company had to lay off more than 1/3rd of its workforce and more are planned for the coming year.

Best Saab Car Show 2009

Saab is a Swedish Car, currently owned by General Motors well been known for its key elements being adaptation to technology, consumer safety and speed. Today, it is one of the few car companies which are also very eco friendly.

Saab started in 1937 as a passenger car. At that time the large car was deemed to be very gas inefficient because of the awkward exterior body and large engine. The car underwent extensive revisions over the next 20 years and by 1955, the 93 was quite popular in Scandinavia. This next generation continued to be clean, fuel efficient and had superb exterior design which attracted younger people. In the 80s, like all car companies Saab underwent severe financial crises and had several investors including GM. Losses continued all the way into the 90s.

The 900 and 9-5 models improved in sales but only at home. The major problem with Saab was that that this family car was slightly more expensive to buy and service. Consumers had many more choices of cars in the 90s and Saab suffered on the international market. On the rally circuit, the performance versions have always done well, but the cost of racing has limited its entrance into many Formula one series competitions.

Current models of Saab 9-3 and 9-5 are made in several countries including Germany and Sweden. The 9-7X SUV is being manufactured in Ohio but sales have been abysmal. Saab even tried to manufacture the Saab 9-2X in Japan but failed to compete with Japanese automakers and was discontinued.

In 2008, GM itself was undergoing downsizing and was on the brink of bankruptcy. Potential buyers for Saab include Tata or BMW, but all car manufacturers have been hit by the recession and the future of the company remains uncertain. Even though the Saab 9-4X is planned for 2009. The release dates are pending.

The cars underwent more redesigning and only became famous after the 2nd world war.

The company has primarily remained stable because of its diverse interest in many other business sectors. It has also been innovative when it comes to promotional strategies. As one of the first car companies to sponsor sports events, golf tournaments and for this reason; consumers quickly became aware of the Volvo trade mark. The cars have been known to be extremely safe and often hold the records for most mileage and durability.

The cars have always been of high quality and are of the most respected Swedish cars. Volvo is the 2nd largest manufacturer of trucks and buses world wide- the sales have been booming. The other sector where this company has capitalized is in consumer transport, with their buses are used world wide. Almost every country uses Volvo buses for mass public transit.

Today, Volvo cars are available worldwide and have patented many safety system including the SIPS, SHIPS, ROPS and IC to name just a few. There are plans to make hybrid and electric cars in the near future mean to compete with Japanese manufactures like Honda and Toyota. Unlike many other companies, the future of Volvo appears safe and sound.

Automakers Report for January Auto Sales 2009

More bad news for the auto industry, as sales have been reported for the month of January. As expected, consumers were still skittish about venturing to car dealerships. Sales of cars and trucks in the U.S. plummeted 37% overall, creating a grim picture of the yeah ahead.

The economy is facing a long road ahead, and car dealers and the automakers are struggling to maintain momentum. Consumers don't have the spare cash on hand to afford new cars. Meanwhile, Pontiac Pittsburgh know all too well that financial institutions are simply not eager to lend money, hampering car dealers' ability to sell more cars.

General Motors sales fell 49% in the month of January, creating a terrible start for the embattled automaker as it's busy reorganizing. Additionally, Chrysler, who also is undergoing organizational changes, saw sales fall to about half the amount from what they were last January.

Japanese automakers were a little more fortunate than domestic automakers, but certainly not immune to the dearth in consumer confidence, acknowledges one Pittsburgh Honda dealer. Toyota and Nissan sales dropped by about 30% in January.

To put these sale declines into perspective, in January 2008 the automotive industry sold a total of just over a million cars. January 2009 saw that number drop to 656,976. That's a huge drop in new car sales, and as each month passes, those numbers seem to be on a slow yet steady decline. The total sales in January are the worst since June of 1982.

Although consumer spending is down, Westminster Toyota dealer says there are other areas that weighed heavily on the automotive industry. Specifically, fleet sales and rental car sales have plummeted, as businesses are cutting back, and consumers are traveling less. While fleet sales are typically low-profit, they make up a substantial chunk of overall sales. Declines in fleet purchases also means that more inventories may be sitting idle warns Orlando Chevrolet dealers. In fact General Motors saw a decline of about 80% in January - the lowest fleet sales level since the mid 1970s!

With numbers for January of 2009 already looking grim, many dealers and industry analysts are expecting it to be a bad omen, and a sign of a long and tough year ahead. Sales need to be improved to facilitate the success or reorganization plans underway at the Big Three automakers, but Newark Ford dealers and others wonder if that is possible in the near-term.

Despite the grim picture, there are plenty of dealers like Hartford Nissan dealers that remain optimistic. Regardless of low sales, January is normally a low sales month. Additionally, it is hoped by Louisville Chevy that the stimulus provided to the automakers by the federal government, and loosened credit, will give the Big Three in particular the ability to do business more effectively in the long run.

Among the ways the automakers and dealers are dealing with the sluggish sales is by offering incentives to car buyers. Specifially, car buyers can expect employee pricing at Hartford Chrysler dealers and other Chrysler stores, while dealers may be offering zero percent financing such as at Kingston Toyota dealers. Many buyers can also get their hands on cash back incentives. These are all efforts to entice consumers into showrooms, and thus far it has had a marginal effective overall.

Despite declines, there have been some automakers that have seen gains in January. Among these few instances is Hyundai, which posted a 14% sales increase. Hyundai is currently offering a unique incentive, providing new car buyers with the Hyundai Assurance Program, enabling consumers to return their vehicles should they lose their job or otherwise cannot make the payments. It is hoped that this program may help spur sales among frugal new car buyers at Hyundai Boston and elsewhere as the economy weighs heavily on consumers' minds.

Another automaker that saw gains in January was Subaru. Driven largely by its recently redesigned 2009 Subaru Forester, which saw sales gains of about 115%, Subaru has seen its second straight month of sales gains.

Other sales numbers include a 32% dip for Toyota, a 30% decline for Nissan, and a 28% drop for Honda.
